Boris Loushin is a native of St. Petersburg, Russia. He received his degrees from St. Petersburg State Conservatory of Music, where after graduation he taught for 25 years.

Dr. Loushin is regarded as one of the most outstanding Russian chamber and concert singers and has performed around the world.

In 1991, Dr. Loushin immigrated to the United States and established a private studio in Manhattan. Since 1994, he has taught voice, voice with instruments and Italian, French and Russian Diction at the Crane School of Music. He is currently a Professor of Music and continues an active international performing career. Dr. Loushin is currently completing, in collaboration with his wife, pianist Eugenia Tsarov, a CD of 23 Russian art songs and arias entitled "Your Guide to Singing in Russian."
